A night in Utah

This is the view from our hotel tonight, a lovely mountain vista with a brook running just behind the property.  We had good driving weather today but it clouded over in the afternoon.  We drove past acres and acres of ranches. In one spot we saw hundreds of cattle plodding along a fence line that must have been 8 km long.
Further south we drove past a frozen lake and both Barry and I figured that it was the perfect spot to have an ice boat.  There were none there but we saw a bunch of ice fishing huts. I am pretty sure there are vehicles on the ice beside some of the huts. Where are the skaters, it looked ideal for an outdoor hockey game!
We drove past Salt Lake City, it is a huge metropolis. Our quiet double lane highway turned into a busy 6 lane motorway.
I just had to add this pic. Here I am laundering our money!
We had over $5.00 worth of American coins in our car since last June. I am pretty sure I had spilled something in the spot we kept the coins, a lot of them were stuck together and they had black gooey stuff on them.  A good scrubbing and they were the tip for our delicious meal at a very busy family restaurant last night.
The forecast for tomorrow does not look good, a storm with possible freezing rain and then snow is moving in.  We will proceed with caution, we have no deadlines to meet.
